Ms. Agnes Hwong, music teacher of WYK, passed away on 4 August, 2011. Below is the message from her husband on 7 August, 2011:

各個位親朋好友,

愛妻黃燕芳Agnes,生於1951年12月12日,於2011年8月4日晚上11點35分在屯門醫院安息主懷,享年60歲,永享天福。

我們將於2011年8月12日晚上7:30,將在大圍寶福山寶福紀念館地下1A 禮堂舉行入殮禮及守靈彌撒。

翌日2011年8月13日上午10:30在元朗青山公路201號屏山段聖伯多祿聖保祿堂舉行逾越安息彌撒,隨即奉厝長沙灣天主教墳場安葬

Mr Ko Chi-Chung, Felix, chairman of WYKPSA in 1980-81, passed away peacefully on 8th July, 2011 at the age of 69. Vigil and funeral masses are scheduled at 5th and 6th August respectively. Detail can be found in the message below from Felix Ko’s family.

As past students of Wah Yan, we will never forget the contributions of the Jesuit priests to our society. We may not be what we are today without their assiduous guidance surely.

A birthday party will be held for our beloved Dr. Rev. Fr. Alfred Deignan, S.J. who will be celebrating his ripe youthful age of 84. We are pleased to invite you to come and join us.

Forum On Small-class Teaching

Upon the request of the School, the forum on small-class teaching originally scheduled to be held on the coming Saturday will be postponed and the details are as follows:

Hope to contribute to Wah Yan College Kowloon? Here comes a chance! Wah Yan College Kowloon is organising the second mentorship programme, and the organising committee is inviting you to participate in this meaningful programme as a mentor. Targeting at F.4 students, this programme runs on a yearly basis and aims to enhance their personal development with you as a role model.

Please be informed that a committee on WYK F1 Admission has been formed under WYKPSA. The objective of this committee is to help our past students in their sons’ applications to the School. Should your sons have submitted their applications for F1 Admission 2011/12 and you are interested in learning / hearing more from this committee, please feel free to sign up with Dr. W. H.
