Words from the Chairman

Dear Brothers,

The AGM of WYKPSA took place last night (25 May 2019). It is my greatest pleasure to be elected as the Chairman of PSA and to serve our alma mater and alumni. All Exco candidates have been elected smoothly. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our Office Bearers of this term:

Chairman: Stephen Lam (96)
Vice Chairman: Chris Chan (96), Vincent Li (96), Frederick Hui (96)
Honorary Secretary: YK Yiu (96)
Treasurer: Paul Chan (07)

We are in the course of dealing with transition of terms. We will pick up all aspects of PSA as efficiently as we could.

As promised, I will try by best to reunite brotherhood and make our WYKPSA great again!

If you have any constructive comments, please feel free to share with me.

In Hoc Signo Vinces!

Sincerely Yours,
Stephen Lam

Time: 5:30 pm
Price: HK$18,000 per table of 12

Dear Wahyanites & Friends of Wah Yan,

Regarding the Centennial Gala Dinner, Organising Committee (OC) proudly announces the start of Phase 1 registration period.

  • Phase 1 table registration will be from 4 Mar 2019 (Mon) to 19 May 2019 (Sun), preferably on table basis via year coordinators
  • Given the venue capacity constraint, in case of over-registration, OC has to allocate number of tables & confirm registrations to year coordinators by 31 May 2019
  • Year coordinators to pay in 14 calendar days upon receipt of registration confirmation, only full payment is considered for valid registration (valid table sale)
  • Please note the registration process is not merely on first-come-first-serve basis. However, OC would take into account chronological sequence of registrations in alloting number of tables
    In case there is still available space in the venue, OC would firstly handle those unfulfilled table requests recorded in Phase 1 & then proceed to accept new registrations in Phase 2. Such process will repeat & so on….
  • OC would announce details of Phase 2 table registration in around mid of May, if any
  • OC reserves the right of final decisions and interpretation of the event

WY Transcending 100 Gala Dinner OC

P.S. OC would post a list of year coordinators in due course for your reference. For parents & those Wahyanites who can’t identify your year coordinators to form table(s), please leave your contacts via Online Enquiry Form (Google Form) https://goo.gl/forms/T0guQ7piDFVofWAn2. On a best effort basis, we would forward the forms received to your coordinators who’ll assist you on registration. Please note the Online Enquiry Form isn’t part of the registration process due to the preference of whole-table registration via coordinators at this stage

  1. 第一階段的訂枱登記由3月4日(星期一)開始至5月19日(星期日)結束;
  2. 這階段將會以枱數為基礎單位(即是1枱,2枱,3枱等等)(每枱以12位計),每枱港幣18,000元正(即每人港幣1,500元正)。
  3. 因為兩華畢業生眾多,為保持OC和有興趣參加的師兄弟溝通,OC希望盡量跟每年的聯絡人☎️聯繫(可以是class coordinator 或class rep或港九華舊生會代表等等都可以),以達到準確知道第一階段的報名枱數;
  4. 但OC都明白有部分師兄弟可能忘記了甚或不知道誰是class coordinator,所以訂枱小組貼心地♥️預備了一張網上查詢表格 (https://goo.gl/forms/T0guQ7piDFVofWAn2)📲給大家,OC會將資料交給相關的class coordinator以作協調;
  5. 另外,兩校家長亦可用上述表格表達興趣,相關資訊會轉交港華家教會或九華家長會跟進及協調;

Recruitment of Volunteer English Tutors for TSW On-site English Tutorial Program

In the past four years since establishment in 2015, our free on-site English tutorial program has expanded progressively, and currently serves six secondary schools in Tin Shui Wai and six in Kwai Chung. Over 1200 under-privileged students have benefited from our service, and some 60 alumni have been recruited to help out, mainly through the support of the two past students associations. In view of the expansion, we now need more tutors from the Wah Yan community.

If you or your family wish to put into practice the spirit of “Men for and with Others” and are willing to sacrifice a few hours per week of your free time (weekdays after school or Saturday mornings, for about ten weeks per school term) to help the needy by serving as an on-site English tutor, please visit the following websites containing details of our program and the roles of tutors, and an enrollment form:

If interested, please complete and return the enrollment form to us. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact either Stephen Lam (WYHK’75) at 93297501 or Herbert Chan (WYHK’79) at 90816207. We look forward to your favourable response.
