Appeal for donation to support the costs of operation treatments for Cheung Chung Pan

Since 2008, our fellow Wahyanites have concerned about the condition of Cheung Chung Pan (’03) , who is suffering from lymphoedema, a disorder which results from the malfunctioning of the lymphatic system. With the joint efforts of our fellow Wahyanites and friends of Wah Yan community, in October 2008, we raised over HK$600,000 towards the medical expenses of Chung Pan. With the fund raised, Chung Pan underwent a series of operations successfully in Taiwan.

After years of tough rehabilitation, Chung Pan had also gone through a medical operation in March 2019.

We have news from Chung Pan that he is still under treatment for lymphoedema in Taiwan at the moment, and that he will soon undergo another round of operations. For this round of operation, it requires approximately NT$1,000,000 (approx. HK$270,000), to cover hospital expenses.

In order to support Chung Pan, who has shown tremendous courage and perseverance in fighting the disease and reducing the plight that he faces, WYKPSA is making an appeal to caring Wahyanites to make donations to the Norman So WYK Development Fund (“Norman So Fund”) so as to give help for the relief of Chung Pan in need. The Norman So Fund takes the lead to fund the remittance of the needed amount to the hospital in Taiwan.

Donations can be made by cheques payable to “Norman So WYK Development Fund Ltd.”, and sent to c/o Wah Yan College Kowloon, 56 Waterloo Road, Kowloon

or

by bank deposit to HSBC A/C no.: 033-896937-001, and please send the deposit advice via Whatsapp to Stephen Lam (’96, WYKPSA Chairman) at 9687 0116 or Felix Tseng (’81, Director of Normal So WYK Development Fund) at 9657 0777.

Receipts will be issued for donations of HK$100 or above for tax deduction purpose.

Please contact Stephen Lam (’96) at [email protected] for more information.

Men for and with others, your help is needed.
Let’s keep Chung Pan and his mother in our prayers.
