Ignatian Symposium 2010

Please be reminded: Early Bird Discount closes after next Thursday 30th September 2010. Ignatian Symposium 2010 will be held at Noah’s Ark, Ma Wan Island on 2nd to 5th December to mark the 400th Anniversary of the death of Fr. Matteo Ricci. Objective: To explore inculturation of various facets of Ignatian spirituality in different environments; with special emphasis on personal experience and story; and with special reference to Chinese culture. 舊生會對東方日報11月17日報導的回應

本會得悉東方日報於2010年11月17日報導本會曾要求就校方提出優化小班教學一事與校方舉行研討會，副校長由本來承諾出席變為後來拒絕出席，令本會由諮詢機構淪為知會機構。 本會謹此澄清，就該計劃一事，一直與校方保持良好溝通，而舉辦研討會的目的是讓校方能夠聽取各位舊生就此事上的個人看法，以協助校方更能集思廣益，而本會對該計劃暫時並無任何既定立場，也從來沒有感覺校方將本會定位為報導中所指的知會機構。 此外，本會計劃於本年12月或明年1月間就該計劃舉行研討會，屆時將邀請各校友、校長及校方代表出席，詳情將於稍後公佈。現附上校方的計劃書（校方將多提供另一建議書以作討論）讓各位參考，歡迎各位校友就該計劃提供書面意見，並將意見電郵至 [email protected]。該些意見經整理後，將會在日後舉行的研討會中發放及討論。 如有任何查詢，請致電九龍華仁書院Connie Chu（電話號碼: 2193 5303）。 校方優化小班教學計劃書（校方將多提供另一建議書以作討論）

Election of Alumni Manager校友校董選舉

According to the existing arrangement, the members of the School Management Committee of Wah Yan College Kowloon comprise, inter alia, a representative of the alumni (the “Alumni Manager”). Pursuant to the resolutions passed at the Annual General Meeting 2010 of Wah Yan College Kowloon Past Students’ Association (the “Association”), the election arrangement of the Alumni Manager has been amended and the Alumni Manager shall be elected based on the principle of universal suffrage.

Up to 30 September 2010, the Election Committee has only received one registration form for election, which was submitted by Mr. Yu Chun Sing Sam (1983). According to the election arrangement for alumni manager adopted during the Annual General Meeting of WYK Past Students’ Association held on 29 May 2010, in the event that there is only one candidate for the alumni manager, that candidate will be automatically elected as the alumni manager.
