Wah Yan College Kowloon Past Students’ Association (WYKPSA) is a limited company formed for the purpose of promoting friendship and co-operation among past students of Wah Yan College, Kowloon and Wah Yan College, Kowloon (“the College”) itself, as well as organising and supporting activities of social, cultural, civic and charitable nature for the benefit of the College or in the interest of members of WYKPSA or the community at large.
WYKPSA was incorporated on 1st June 1970 and is currently run by an Executive Committee whose ex-official President is the Principal of the College.
Membership Purpose
WYKPSA keeps the personal data of its members for membership record purposes only and the usage and keeping of such data is in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Ordinance and Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
Transfer of Personal Data
Data recorded by WYKPSA relating to its members are kept confidential with the exceptional circumstance that such data may be transferred upon requests to facilitate communication between WYKPSA and the following parties:
- the College; and
- other Chapters of Wah Yan College International Network Committee.
Access and Correction of Personal Data
In accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, members have the right to ascertain whether WYKPSA holds personal data relating to them, the right to obtain a copy of such data, and the right to clarify and amend any incorrect data as necessary. Requests for access to this information held and corrections thereto should be in writing and addressed to WYKPSA. Upon receiving such requests, WYKPSA may demand an administrative fee which would be determined by WYKPSA from time to time.
Nothing in this Policy shall limit the rights of members of WYKPSA under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
