華仁書院家長會於本年度成立閱讀計劃活動小組，小組成立的目的是協助學校推動及提高校園的閱讀風氣。希望藉此活動能培養學生的閱讀習慣，推而廣之可以轉化成校內一獨特風氣，從而提昇學生的學術水平，和培養學生一生自習自學的精神。 計劃的第一步是成立讀閱室。我們希望提供一個輕鬆的環境，讓學生於課餘時間隨意覽閱書本。有別於學校的圖書館，讀閱室的書藉類型可包羅萬象,不拘一格。去 年年底家長會己發出通告向家長徵集書本，家長捐出書本數量雖然不多，但為了讓計劃儘快展開，讀閱室已於今年一月開放。 我們希望這活動除了有家長參與外，還有校友們一同參與和熱烈支持，慷慨捐出適合中學生閱讀的書籍，讓讀閱室的圖書數量更豐富，使這計劃能成功實行。 凡內容健康，適合中學或以上程度閱讀的正版書籍，一律歡迎捐贈。捐贈書本可於辦公時間內交到學校的辦公室，學校會先代收書本，然後轉交家長會處理。 為了進一步鼓勵同學多閱讀及提昇閱讀氣氛，活動小組將會不斷籌辦相關的活動，歡迎各校友提出不同建議。建議可電郵至本會或聯絡小組負責人龐棣勛 Ivan Pong ivanpong@netvigator.com 或 9021 2922。

為協助學校推廣及提昇校園的閱讀風氣，舊生會向學校推薦參加Read for the Kids閱讀籌款計劃已獲接納。這計劃除了推廣校內閱讀風氣外，還希望培育學生為有特別需要的人的福利而工作（Men for Others）的華仁精神。 計劃內容是參與的學生每閱畢一本書，其贊助人會捐出最低港幣十元，閱書數愈多，籌得的善款愈多。籌得的善款會交到有關慈善機，用作援助中國之貧困兒童。此 項計劃是由Feed for the Kids International舉辦，機構於1972年成立致力幫助貧窮的兒童，而香港分會由2003年開始主力援助中國之貧困兒童。 閱讀籌款計劃由2007年3月開始致5月底結束。學生必須徵得他人贊助始何参與此計劃。這是個很有意義的計劃，我們希望鼓勵同學多參與﹑多閱讀。但由於各種原因（例如資源有限），部份學生未能尋獲贊助人，故在此呼籲各校友能踴躍支持，參與為學生的贊助人。 個人的力量也許是微不足道的，但要是校友都能積極参與，盡一分力發一分光，定然能燃亮這計劃成功的火種。有興趣成為贊助人的校友請聯絡本會曾慶輝先生 Felix Tseng (2957 8085) 或 fxtseng_wyk@yahoo.com 。 Donation form
